Welcome to Nonprofit Fiscal Support Center

Nonprofit Fiscal Support Center's mission is to strengthen the viability of nonprofit organizations by enhancing their financial stability and management capacity.

Nonprofit organizations continue to meet the critical needs of our most vulnerable citizens - impacting the lives of countless children, seniors, and low and moderate income families. In turn, NFSC continues to meet the vital financial management needs of these same nonprofits in increasing numbers.

Nonprofit Organizations Are Like Politicians

The nonprofit world is a lot like politics - everyone wants to back a winner. Often, the best candidates go unnoticed because they did not get the opportunity to tell their story to enough people. The same is true in the nonprofit sector. Organizations with big hearts struggle or die because not enough of the right people know of their organization or they feel their limited resources would be better spent on a nonprofit that appears better equipped to stand the test of time..
It's not always the mission that drives the investors' funding decisions. A hardcore loyalist may blindly fund a cause. Although fiercely loyal donors will blindly contribute because of their beliefs, it is the other donors a nonprofit organization needs to attract: those with a philanthropic soul who do not have a vested interest in any single cause.
Many grantors and donors are not passionate about a single mission. They are bombarded with requests from a large number of groups, all making arguments to fund their causes. You can assure that your organization will be recognized by these philanthropic groups by
demonstrating that you practice sound fiscal management. Show that you understand that "no margin, means no mission". Don't allow your great cause to be denied funding because of a poor financial management.
Nonprofit Fiscal Support Center can provide the fiscal support to assure that your organization is a winner.

Fiscal Responsibility and Your Board of Directors

Boards traditionally exercise their fiscal responsibitlity by helping to develop and approve the annual budget. Indeed, this annual rite is probably one of the board's most significant policy decisions because it sets in motion a host of programatic, personnel, and other priorities. This responsibility should not be delegated to the board's executive of finance committees.

The board can only monitor the budget's implementation if it is provided clear, intelligible, accurate, and timely financial reports.

At NFSC, we pride ourself in providing you the tools that enable you to easily meet the reporting requirements of your board, as well as, your funders.
